My friends think I'm crazy (okay, maybe they're right), but I grew up in a very old home and have always loved the architecture, construction and atmosphere of old homes.  I am very excited to announce our recent purchase of a pre-Revolutionary home in Farmingdale.  Its history is only known back 2 owners (about 165 years), but I am hoping to be able to find new avenues of research to expand its story.

There are many opportunities in our area to purchase a piece of history, so I put together these lists of older/historic homes for people like my Husband and myself who aren't intimidated by the challanges these homes present.  These have all been entered into the MLS as having been built before 1920 with the exception of the homes under $200,000 and those over $2,000,000 - I went to 1940 on those.  I have grouped them by price so you won't have to wade through homes that are not in your price range.
